Macedonia and Croatia Begin Student Exchange Programs

The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies from Skopje (FEIT), will start an exchange program that will involve professors, students, and interns with the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (FER) in Zagreb, Croatia.

This possibility is allowed under the cooperation memorandum signed in Skopje by the heads of these two educational institutions.

"The signing of the memorandum represents deepening and institutionalization of our current cooperation with FER from Croatia. Through this cooperation, we will enable exchange of knowledge and experience between the two educational institutions and secure mutual presentation before other institutions and organizations," says Prof. Mile Stankovski, PhD, dean of FEIT.

According to the FER dean, Prof. Mislav Grgic, FEIT and FER have nourished traditionally excellent partner relations, but with this memorandum, the mutual cooperation will be formalized in the next five years.

"The memorandum also defines the planned concrete activities related to our cooperation, such as joint workshops on subject areas in order to be able to participate in new projects, short-term two-way mobility for the students with double mentorship in terms of the PhD studies," Grgic explains.

Besides the exchange of students and professors, the Faculties have agreed joint participation in international projects, possibilities of cooperation on mutual student programs, promotion of scientific, academic and cultural activities, as well as the organization of seminars, workshops, conferences and publishing scientific work
